Hello Marianne - Lovely to hear from someone so far away. The street as far as I know did not have a hospital - although some houses were once utilised as an emergency fever hospital in another street nearby about the same time. My wife's family called Fox - lived there about the same time after moving from Witton Park Durham - another ironworks. Let me know more about your gt grandfather's family name and siblings if you can. Regards John
